I am obsessed with a chocolate cake that also tastes identical to the best dessert known to man. Campfire s’mores plus chocolate cake equals ambrosial goodness. I have no idea why this dessert has not been on the covers of more food magazines. This delectable dessert is chewy, and it tastes like fudge. Why doesn’t Food Network or Bón Appetite cook up this cake but add tahini or orange zest? P.S. You can do that.
Happy belated 2018!! I can not believe that it’s a new year, which means that new blog posts are coming. One thing that I immensely enjoy about starting a new year is creating a list of places you want to visit during that year and then at the end of the year, you are able to look back to see where you went and identify if you visited where you planned on traveling to.
I don’t know if you all knew this, but I really like the state of Oklahoma. I love the weather, the culture, the food, the architecture, etc. But one of the places I’d never been to before was The Orr Family Farm. This farm is the perfect place for groups of all ages because there are so many family-friendly options. Football, jump pads, pedal carts, ziplining, you name it. It’s probably there.
“Christmas Eve is coming soon, now you dear old man..” I can not believe that Christmas is tomorrow. Seriously? I’m so excited for Christmas. You know why? We’ll be able to celebrate the birth of God’s own son, visit with family, and eat delicious food. Speaking of food, this recipe is the perfect way to disguise a gluten-free dish. It also helps with introducing family and friends to the realm of gluten-free.
These Christmas cookies are delectable, chewy, and soft right out of the oven. Besides, what’s Christmas without Christmas cookies? They may be called Snow Topped Mountains, Dirty Snowballs, Crackled Cookies, or Russian tea cakes, but we can all agree on one thing. That these cookies are addicting! I dare you to eat just one.
Can we talk about how it’s only two days away until Christmas? The month of December and the year of 2017 have flown by so fast. So many exciting events have happened this year. I can’t wait for what 2018 has in store for the blog. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to you all!
May I introduce you to the best bread in the world. Cheesy Garlic Bread. This stuff is super gooey, lightweight, yeast-free, cheesy, crumb-less bread. Way back in 2006, I really liked Red Lobster cheesy appetizer bread(and I still do.) But the only problem is that I can’t visit Red Lobster all the time. Otherwise, I would go every single day and just have appetizers. (I know, I have a problem.)
Do you have a favorite Italian restaurant? Well, my new favorite Italian restaurant is Cerroni’s Purple Garlic or Purple Garlic for short. When you walk in, you immediately feel welcomed. The restaurant is an order-at-the-counter type of restaurant with serve yourself drinks (except for wine, of course). Their hours are Monday-Thursday: 11am-9pm, Friday, and Saturday: 11am-10pm and Sunday: Closed. They are part of the Flavor app, which is a food delivery service. So if you want Italian food, you can order through the app and it will arrive straight to your door.
Cerroni’s offers house-made appetizers, salads, sandwiches, pasta, pizza/specialty pizza, and dessert. They also cater sandwich trays or family-style Italian meals. Kids eat free all day Wednesday’s and Saturday’s with the purchase of an adult meal.
A couple weeks ago, I was given the privilege to visit Padre Island National Seashore on Padre Island. I camped right next to the beach with my family. The only problem was the 40 mph winds and we were in a tent. So my parents decided to get a hotel for the rest of our weekend getaway.
I can’t believe there are only 12 days left in 2017! It feels like yesterday I woke up and it was January 1, 2017. To start the New Year off, I decided to collect a list of my favorite food bloggers and share them with you guys. After all, you learn something new everyday. Some of them I discovered on Pinterest and others I found by using the good old internet a.k.a. Google. Also, I have another blog post coming soon of my favorite travel bloggers you need to follow in 2018.
Pizza. That is the one word in the entire English language that makes me think of Italian food. Ever since I fell in love with authentic Italian food back in 2014, I’ve been on the hunt for the perfect pizza. Pizza that is light, flavorful and a sauce that is seeped in the flavors of Italy. After visiting Marco’s, I believe my seemingly endless quest is over.
Naan is the perfect way to introduce you and your family to the Indian cuisine.
I’m sure many of y’all are wondering why I have not posted in
over a month. Well, here’s why. I’m not very good at keeping track with a planner, but I
am getting better at planning out my week. Creating new and unique content each
week is hard work, but it’s worth it.
Anyways, now that all of that is out of the way…
Merry Christmas! Why not share the joy of the holidays on Pinterest and tag me @evelynesepicureanexpeditions.
Doesn’t it seem like lately many celebrities have been supporting the Gluten-Free food craze? They tweet about, they Instagram it, share it on snapchat, etc. But some people are medically allergic to gluten. They are diagnosed with Celiac disease, which affects 1 in every 133 Americans; that’s roughly 2 million people. Even if you don’t have Celiac disease, you could have gluten sensitivity.
