Thanksgiving is defined as “the expression of gratitude, especially to God.” New Oxford American Dictionary. Sadly, many in modern day America skip over this holiday of giving thanks. They hop from Halloween to Christmas.

The whole reason America celebrates Thanksgiving is that the Pilgrims celebrated the harvest of 1621 with the Wampanoag native Americans. The Pilgrims left Plymouth, England in search of a land where they could worship God freely without King James I of England penalizing and arresting them for not agreeing with the Church of England. They arrived in Plymouth, Massachusets in late 1620. The first winter was a miserable tragedy. Forty-five of the original 102 settlers died during the winter. By 1621, the survivors were desperate for a change in diet and they searched for an opportunity to give thanks to God. After partnering with the Wampanoag native Americans, the Pilgrims were able to give thanks to in late 1621.

Hope Haus Bakery: An Interview with Tammy Precise

I would like you to meet Ms. Tammy Precise, the owner of Hope Haus Bakery. She is a woman of God, integrity, honor, and humility. Tammy labors late into the night to finish every single item with 150%. The first time I worked with her, I was blown away by how calm she was in the storm of deadlines and baking multiple desserts. I worked with her this last week and I had so much fun. We made pies, cookies, cakes, and truffles. Every night after I left, she would stay up into the wee hours of the night finishing frosting cookies. She tackles every single project with grace and the power of prayer. Anytime we thought something was going wrong, she would pray “In the name of Jesus, please let this (blank) cook the way it is supposed to. She is super creative, innovative, funny, and full of energy.

Who are you?

My name is Tammy Precise, owner of Hope Haus Bakery, a delivery only bakery for now.

It’s that time of the year where the leaves on ancient and youthful trees lose their leaves; the days grow shorter, and the weather becomes colder. What is the word that represents the change from hot days to colder days? It is a three letter word that is a synonym for autumn. That’s right, fall. Fall is a three letter word that symbolizes the changing of the leaves, the shortening of days, and the continuous rising of people purchasing hot drinks. Now, those could be coffee, hot chocolate, or tea, etc. We all have our differences, and that is the best thing about truly us.

Also, happy late National Bacon Day even though I’m not the biggest fan of bacon.

Welcome back to Back to School 2018 aka the time of year where people spend way too much money on school supplies, clothes, and tiny amounts of food packaged in off-white colored plastic containers that are overpriced aka lunchables. Why do tiny and unhealthy pieces of food cost so much? A lunchable literally costs $1.78! With a $1.78, I could buy all of the products for one of these recipes. Plus, almost all of the Lunchables are NOT gluten-free.

Anywho, some people don’t want to spend hours making snack packs that disappear into someone’s stomach in two seconds; so why don’t you make snack packs that  take 5 minutes to make, are healthy, and taste sensational. I have compiled a list of four gluten-free recipes for YOU so that this year is not too stressful.
